General Secretary of Comilla South District Awami League and former Railway Minister Md. Mujibul Haque Mujib MP said, ‘Drug dealers and users are poison for the society. So I don’t want to hear any more words like drugs and juvenile gangs. Administration, public representatives, political and social leaders should work together to eradicate them. Everyone will play a leading role from their own position in building smart chouddagram free from drugs and juvenile gangs.
He also said, ‘On the day of the 12th National Assembly election held on January 7, some drug addicts hit my car, before that they synced at the UNO office. Immediately the police chased them away. But I have not seen any action of the administration against them yet. If not, I request you to take necessary action. I am a field worker, thousands of party leaders got angry about my car deal. But I forbade them, I calmed them down with an oath that I will see to everything.’
Mujibul Haque MP said to the upazila administration, ‘Make a list of what needs to be done in any department and send it to me through the upazila executive officer within the next month. You have joined the government jobs because of your education and qualifications and have come to Chauddagram from different parts of the country, you are our guests of Chauddagram. He will work tirelessly in addition to playing an important role in the overall development of Chauddagram with his efficiency. This is what I expect from you as a local member of parliament. I wish for your full cooperation in building a smart Bangladesh of the Honorable Prime Minister Jannetri Sheikh Hasina.’ He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the monthly meeting of the upazila law and order committee in Chauddagram of Comilla on Tuesday (January 16) morning.

Officials of different departments of upazila administration along with BGB representatives were present in the meeting. During this time, various issues including prevention of free movement of CNG-powered autorickshaws on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway, prevention of child marriage, control of drugs, suppression of juvenile gangs were discussed. Besides, to prevent road accidents, the speakers raised the demand for construction of alternative roads on both sides of the 44 km Dhaka-Chittagong highway of Chauddagram Upazila and a flyover from the head of Laksam Road in Upazila Sadar to the head of the road of Upazila Parishad. At the end of the meeting, the newly elected Member of Parliament of Comilla-11 (Chauddagram) Constituency Md. Mujibul Haque Mujib MP was given floral greetings and a memento of honor.
